No. You cannot pay Hetzner with crypto: its payment overview, read on 30 October 2026, states that it does not accept cryptocurrencies. Hetzner takes credit cards, SEPA direct debit, bank transfer and PayPal. Ironatoll works the other way round: dedicated servers paid only in crypto, with no KYC, from $63.68 per 30 days.

Which payment methods does Hetzner accept?
Hetzner accepts four payment methods: credit card, SEPA direct debit, bank transfer and PayPal. Its payment overview, last changed on 28 July 2026, lists them and adds one line: it does not accept cryptocurrencies.
- Cards: VISA, Mastercard, AMEX and UnionPay.
- SEPA direct debit: only for accounts billed in euros.
- Bank transfer and PayPal: manual payments; PayPal works only through Hetzner Accounts.
Wallet payments such as Apple Pay are refused, even when a card sits behind them. The account currency, euros or US dollars, is fixed once the account exists. The AX41 dedicated server page gives the same four methods, so dedicated servers follow the general rule.
Why do people ask whether Hetzner takes crypto?
Hetzner is a price reference for bare metal, and some buyers cannot or will not pay by card. On 30 October 2026, Google completed "buy server with crypto" with buy hetzner server with crypto, fifth of nine suggestions. It did the same for "buy server with bitcoin". Reddit's r/hetzner has a thread titled "Can I pay for hetzner VPS with cryptocurrency", and LowEndTalk one called "Hetzner Reseller who accepts Crypto".
Verification is the second reason. Hetzner's fraud prevention FAQ offers two ways to verify an account: an ID document, or an advance payment with your own credit card. A buyer without a card in their own name is left with the ID route. Google also completes "hetzner verification" with paypal. The hosts that skip the check are compared on which Hetzner alternatives don't require ID verification.
Can I pay a Hetzner reseller in crypto?
Some resellers and buying services take crypto and place the order for you; they appear in search results for this question. Paying one changes who you pay, not whose rules govern the machine.
Hetzner's dedicated server agreement still governs the machine. It bans crypto mining software, scanning of foreign networks or IP addresses, manual MAC address changes and fake source IPs. A reseller also adds a second contract and a second support desk between you and the server.
One crypto host in Ironatoll's check names its upstream: CryptoVPS.host's acceptable use policy refers to "Hetzner servers". Ask any reseller which company owns the hardware before you pay.
Which dedicated-server hosts take crypto instead?
According to Ironatoll's check of 30 October 2026, 28 of 34 dedicated-server hosts accept crypto; Hetzner, OVHcloud, Leaseweb and Contabo do not. 15 of them take Monero, and 3 take Bitcoin over Lightning.
The table compares plans about the size of Hetzner's AX41: at least 6 cores, 32 GB of RAM and 960 GB of SSD.

How does paying Ironatoll in crypto work?
You top up a balance in crypto, then each server is paid from it for 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months at a time: Atoll 64 costs $72.62, $348.57 or $610.00. A server is paid from your prepaid crypto balance for 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months at a time, the term you choose at checkout. With auto-renew on, it renews from the balance for the same term at the price of your order, unless you pick another term for the next renewal in your dashboard; if the balance does not cover the next term, the server is suspended at the end of the period, its disks are kept for 7 days, then wiped. No setup fee: you pay only the price of the term you choose, at your order as at every renewal.
Wherever the blockchain shows the sending address, which it does for every coin we take except Monero, we match the payment against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses, and a payment sent from a listed address is never added to a balance. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your servers. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it. The coin-by-coin steps are on how to buy a dedicated server with Bitcoin and can I buy a dedicated server with USDT.

What does Ironatoll not offer that other crypto hosts do?
Ironatoll takes fewer coins than some rivals and has no remote console. Lightning is not accepted, while 3 hosts in the check offer it; Monero is, as at 15 of them. On speed the gap runs the other way: the median setup time stated by the hosts was 24 hours, and Ironatoll promises a few minutes, and no more than one hour, from the moment your payment is confirmed. No remote console (IPMI or KVM over IP) is included: reboots and reinstalls are requested from your dashboard and done by the team.
The price is the trade-off. Atoll 32 costs 25% less than its named reference, MonoVM's “AMD Ryzen 5 5500” at $96.20, read on 30 October 2026 at a crypto host with no ID at signup. Every plan follows the same rule, as the pricing page explains. For the wider market, see where to buy a dedicated server with crypto.
