What KYC means for a rented server, which of 34 dedicated-server hosts ask for ID and on which trigger, and what no KYC does not change.

**Quick answer — Can I rent a dedicated server without KYC or ID verification?**

Yes. You can rent a dedicated server without KYC or ID verification at **Ironatoll**. No KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents, and email is optional. Paid in crypto, servers cost from $63.68 per 30 days. According to Ironatoll's check of 30 October 2026, 13 of 34 dedicated-server hosts ask for no ID. 16 ask on triggers such as refunds, and 3 ask everyone.

## What does Ironatoll ask for when you rent a dedicated server?

| Attribute | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Identity documents | No KYC: no ID, selfie, documents, card or phone number are ever collected |
| How you sign in | You log in with an account number, and an email address is an option, not a requirement |
| If you lose the number | Keep your account number safe, because signing in depends on it. An email on the account makes it recoverable; without one, nobody can retrieve a lost number |
| How you pay | BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR, from $1; no card, no bank |
| Logs | No logs: we keep no connection logs, no traffic logs and no IP addresses of visitors or customers, on the website, the dashboard or the servers |
| Age | Only people who have turned 18 can open or hold an account |
| Countries not served | We turn away people and companies located in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Yemen or Western Sahara, or in the occupied regions of Ukraine |
| Competitor ID rules checked | 30 October 2026, 34 active dedicated-server hosts |

## What does KYC mean for a dedicated server?

KYC, short for Know Your Customer, is an identity check by the host. For a rented server it can mean an ID card or passport upload, a selfie or a camera check. It can also mean a proof of address, a business check, or proof that you own the paying card or wallet.

**Renting a dedicated server without KYC means the host hands you a whole machine and never checks your identity: no passport scan, no selfie, no proof of address.**

Hosts rarely use the same word. Hetzner speaks of account verification, OVHcloud of an order check, Zomro of a KYC procedure and Cherry Servers of identity verification. Most checks do not happen at signup: they start on a trigger, such as a first order, a card payment, a refund or a fraud flag.

## Why do Hetzner and OVH ask for ID verification?

Both check orders against fraud, and buyers complain about it in public.

- **Hetzner:** its fraud-prevention FAQ says it may ask you to verify your account before it processes an order. You either send a copy of a government ID, such as an ID card or passport, or prepay with your own credit card.
- **OVHcloud:** its orders guide says an order in the Confirmation status is being verified by hand, on working days. If the check cannot be completed, OVHcloud emails a request for supporting documents.

These checks create real demand for hosts without them. On 30 October 2026, Ironatoll's search study recorded 20 autocomplete suggestions about ID checks at the big hosts. Examples: *hetzner verification failed*, *hetzner kyc reddit* and *ovh id verification*. All ten of Bing's top results for *hetzner verification reddit* were r/hetzner threads, many about denied checks and long waits.

Neither host takes crypto either. Bare-metal hosts without these checks are compared on [which Hetzner alternatives don't require ID verification](https://ironatoll.com/hetzner-alternative-without-id-verification/ "Bare-metal hosts that skip ID checks").

## Which dedicated server hosts ask for ID, and when?

3 hosts check every customer before a server is delivered, and 16 check only on stated triggers.

**According to Ironatoll's check of 30 October 2026, 13 of 34 dedicated-server hosts ask for no ID, 16 on triggers and 3 always.**

The common triggers are a refund, a card payment, a fraud flag, a crypto payment and the rules of a crypto processor. The table quotes each host's own rule.

13 hosts write no ID step at all. An email address is still the usual minimum, and five add name and address fields to the signup form.

## What does Ironatoll ask for, and what does it keep?

Ironatoll asks for nothing that names you. You log in with an account number, and an email address is an option, not a requirement. You pay in crypto, so no card or bank account is tied to the order.

Keep your account number safe, because signing in depends on it. An email on the account makes it recoverable; without one, nobody can retrieve a lost number.

No logs: connection logs, traffic logs and the IP addresses of visitors and customers are never recorded, and the only trace of how you found us is a referral code, when the link you clicked had one. We keep only what running your server and billing need: your account number and optional email, your orders and top-ups (amount, coin, network, transaction ID, date), and each server’s name, plan, term, location, system, SSH public key, IP addresses and dates, plus, for a server ordered without a key, the temporary root password we set, which stops opening the server once you change it. What the datacenter’s own routers and switches record is beyond our control. Records leave our hands only under an order from a Panamanian court.

## What does no KYC not mean?

No KYC removes the ID check, not the rules. Four sets of rules stay in force: the acceptable use policy, sanctions screening, the countries not served and the age limit.

- **Forbidden uses:** Spam and bulk email, phishing, malware and botnet control, DDoS and other attacks, scanning or brute-forcing systems that belong to others, booter and stresser services, carding and fraud, child sexual abuse material, cryptocurrency mining and any service to sanctioned people or companies are all forbidden. The full policy is under [which uses are banned on an Ironatoll server](https://ironatoll.com/acceptable-use/ "Ironatoll acceptable use policy").
- **Sanctions screening:** Wherever the blockchain shows the sending address, which it does for every coin we take except Monero, we match the payment against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses, and a payment sent from a listed address is never added to a balance.
- **Countries not served:** We turn away people and companies located in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Yemen or Western Sahara, or in the occupied regions of Ukraine.
- **Age:** Only people who have turned 18 can open or hold an account.
- **Law:** Ironatoll is run by DomaineGoat LLC, a company registered in Panama, and answers only to Panamanian law. Each server’s datacenter, for its part, is bound by the law of the country it stands in.

No KYC does not hide you either. A transparent blockchain (every coin we take except Monero), your own IP address and what the server runs can still point to you; see [is a no-KYC dedicated server truly private](https://ironatoll.com/is-an-anonymous-dedicated-server-really-anonymous/ "What no KYC and crypto do and do not hide"). The legal side is on [is it legal to rent an offshore dedicated server](https://ironatoll.com/is-offshore-hosting-legal/ "Your country's law, the server's and the company's").

**Before you pay**

- Minimum top-up $1. Top up once in crypto, then buy any plan from your balance.
- Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your servers. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.
- Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain. Typical network confirmation time: BTC ≈ 20 min · USDT TRC-20 ≈ 1 min · USDT ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · USDC ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · ETH ≈ 5 min · SOL ≈ 1 min · LTC ≈ 15 min · XMR ≈ 20 min

## Dedicated servers without KYC: frequently asked questions

### Is there a dedicated server with a no-KYC option?

Yes. 13 of 34 hosts in our 30 October 2026 check ask for no ID document, FlokiNET, PrivateAlps and SwissLayer among them. Ironatoll asks for none either, and needs no email.

### Why do hosting providers ask for ID at all?

Mostly against fraud. Hetzner presents its check as a fraud-prevention measure, and Zergrush cites stolen cards. Contabo says it is legally required to verify customer data for some orders.

### Can a host that skips KYC at signup ask for ID later?

Yes, several. Zomro and AbeloHost keep the right to ask at any time, and MonoVM and 1Gbits ask before a refund. Ironatoll has no trigger of this kind: No KYC: no ID, selfie, documents, card or phone number are ever collected.

### Do I need an email to rent a dedicated server without KYC?

At most hosts, yes. NiceVPS makes it optional, and Ironatoll needs none. Keep your account number safe, because signing in depends on it. An email on the account makes it recoverable; without one, nobody can retrieve a lost number.

### Can I skip Hetzner's ID verification?

Only by prepaying with your own credit card, which Hetzner offers instead of the ID copy. Hetzner takes no crypto, so a crypto buyer needs another host.

### Does no KYC mean I can host anything?

No. The acceptable use policy still applies: Spam and bulk email, phishing, malware and botnet control, DDoS and other attacks, scanning or brute-forcing systems that belong to others, booter and stresser services, carding and fraud, child sexual abuse material, cryptocurrency mining and any service to sanctioned people or companies are all forbidden.

**Get a whole server with no ID check** Sign up with a number, pay in crypto from $1 and paste your SSH key, or get a temporary root password. No KYC, no selfie, no documents. Ironatoll: Ironatoll rents offshore dedicated servers (bare metal) in Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Zurich and Bucharest, paid in crypto with no KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents. Each server is a whole physical machine for one customer, with root access over SSH. It is run by DomaineGoat LLC, a company registered in Panama that ignores DMCA notices, answers only to Panamanian law, allows Tor exit relays and keeps no logs. On the 30-day term, each plan is priced at least 25% under a named comparable dedicated server from 17 no-KYC crypto hosts, read on 30 October 2026.
